NAICS Industry Code Format

Validates North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code format per the U.S. Census Bureau specification. NAICS codes are 2-6 digit numeric codes used to classify business establishments by industry. The hierarchy is: 2-digit sector, 3-digit subsector, 4-digit industry group, 5-digit NAICS industry, and 6-digit national industry. Valid sector codes range from 11 (Agriculture) through 99 (Unclassified). NAICS codes are required on EEO-1 Component 1 reports.
