SOC (Standard Occupational Classification) Code Format

Validates Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code format per the Bureau of Labor Statistics specification. SOC codes follow the format NN-NNNN (2-digit major group, hyphen, 4-digit detail). The 23 major groups range from 11 (Management) to 55 (Military Specific). SOC codes are used in EEO-1 reporting and workforce analytics to classify occupations consistently.
