ZIP Code Truncated to 3 Digits
formatcriticalValidates that ZIP codes in de-identified data are truncated to the first 3 digits only. Under HIPAA Safe Harbor, geographic data must be limited to the first 3 digits of the ZIP code, and 3-digit ZIP codes with populations under 20,000 must be replaced with '000'. Valid values are exactly 3 digits or '000' for restricted ZIP prefixes.
